Before I start I would like to let you know that I am glad that you have somehow got to view this page to learn the truth on MLM businesses, you may or may not know me, but I will be happy if I can help you from losing years of failure, frustration and money from MLM even though you are a complete stranger. If you know me, you would know that I am quite a lazy person but I also believe that you will be rewarded in direct proportion to the amount of value you give to others, that is why I am writing this article.

5 Characteristics a Good MLM Company MUST Have

Before you start doing anything, the first thing you will have to know is how to pick a MLM company.

The very first thing you need to do before you join a company is to determine how experienced and how much integrity the management of the company has. One of the best ways to do that is to read through the policies and procedures of that company. Some of these companies have policies and procedures that is so long that you will get a headache from reading it, but these are the companies that you have to really watch out for because they are the ones that might steal your bonus and checks. There are companies out there that require you to sponsor people every single month, or they will terminate you!

I believe there is a basic matter which puts any company without at least two or three years of commercial operation and one year of operating profit in a completely different category from an established company, even one that is so small that it may not have more than a million dollars on annual sales. In the established company, all the major functions of the business are currently operating. About 90% of new companies would fail within 2 - 3 years and big $ is usually made after that for those that survived. That does not mean that you should join the company too late, because if you join too late the growth of the company will not be as fast as it was before.

Almost every company requires you to order products every month, but if it requires you to order a ridiculous amount than you should not even start. Reason for that is because most new people that is looking to part of your business, will only start doing it part-time and probably not willing to spend so much that they cannot consume all of it for that month alone. Also, another thing to look at is the products the company has to offer. You should look for a product that people would buy even without the compensation plan.

Compensation plans is the biggest topic discussed about MLM today. It is important that you compare the compensation plans of different companies and find out what does that business model drive in the field. If it drives the behavior of endless recruiting, than you should be running!

We should now look at the track records of those people that have joined the company. A place that you could go to compare those people that were more successful in that company and those not so successful, would be forums. A better company should have a Proven System for success that is easily Duplicable.
