Are There Better Sites For Business Networking Than Myspace?

The success of social networking sites like Blogger, Xanga and YouTube has given birth to a new era in Internet usage. A study by Nielson/NetRatings shows that the top social networking sites experienced a 47% growth in the past year with a whopping 367% growth for MySpace.

As with anything new you will have people who like it and people who don’t. Some of the people who are a bit wary of this new technology include the Chicken Little’s of our time afraid any advance in technology will harm our children. On the other hand, some people seem a little over joyous with the new technology, namely, the online peddlers of goods. They have seen an enormous rise in their profitability due to the explosive growth of these sites.

There are endless possibilities for those who wish to cash in on the various social networking sites. You can make as many business contacts, meet new friends, keep in touch with the old ones and earn money on the side. Not bad for something that is both enjoyable and which can be done on your own time.

Delegate Your Way To Success

I owned a construction company for 20 years before I started my own online business. For the first five years, I sweated and struggled, and nearly closed my doors. I came very close to failure, until a good friend offered valuable advice.

You see, when you start a construction company, the most important thing on your mind is finding work. I started off with small repair jobs that would last about 2-3 days, but stringing enough jobs back-to-back, without any down time, was kind of tough at first. Pretty soon I had all of the small jobs I could handle, but I really wanted the larger jobs that were more profitable and where you could stay in one place longer (it was much more efficient than setting up for a new job every morning).

As my business grew, I began to get larger jobs. Between myself and my helper, we were busy. Eventually it dawned on me - I had reached my limit. Physically, my helper and I were doing all that we could.
